There is a lot of alternative meat products, mostly from soy, other legumes, but also from vegetables, cereals (seitan) or even fruit (Jack Fruit). If You are looking for similar taste and texture, try products from Vegetarian Butcher, Beyond Meat, Gardein, Vantastic Foods or Linda McCartney. Lot of retail chains offers their own brand of vegan goods. Search the healthy or gluten free shelf, they should be near by in cooler or freezer. There is always Tofu or other home made legumes, cereals, veggie blends. Or mushrooms! They fit instead of meat in many cases.
